Michele Collins is a Director with MassMutual's Advanced Sales organization.  Michele joined MassMutual in 2016, having spent the last 10 years in the Advanced Markets Department at MetLife.

As a member of the Advanced Sales team, Michele provides estate, business, charitable, retirement, special needs and financial planning case assistance to MassMutual agents and financial planners.  In addition, Michele provides product and sales tools support on advanced markets case work.

Michele is a graduate of the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, and the Syracuse University School of Continuing Education (Certificate in Human Resource Management).  She received her JD from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.  Michele has also been admitte3d to the3 Massachusetts State Bar.

Michele is a member of the Board of Directors and the current President of the Boston  Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP).  In addition, she serves on the national board of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and on their Young Professional Advisory Council (YPAC).  Michele is a member of the Boston Bar Association (BBA), and is a volunteer with New England Donor Services (NEDS).

Michael is an elder law attorney, representing the elderly and disabled in areas such as long term care / Medicaid planning, estate planning, special needs trusts, estate and trust administration, and guardianships.

 

Michael also provides estate planning services to individuals of all ages and business planning services to a broad spectrum of clients. He is a civil litigator on matters involving creditor’s rights, estate and trust disputes, and real estate. 

 

Michael served as a judicial clerk for Indiana Supreme Court Justice Randall T. Shepard for two years after law school. He then operated a general practice law firm in Brookville, Indiana before joining DeFur Voran in 2011.

 

Michael's practice areas include Elder LawEstates and Trusts, Creditor Rights, Litigation, and Real Estate.  He graduated with a B.S. from Xavier University, Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (J.D., Summa Cum Laude) and was Associate Editor with Indiana Law Review.  Michael's bar admissions include Indiana and North Carolina.

Michael's seminars include CLE presentation on the SECURE (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement) Act to the Indianapolis Bar Association, Estate Planning and Administration Section; CLE presentation on the SECURE (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement) Act to the Indiana State Bar Association, Elder Law Section.  He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association – Publications, Newsletter, and Technology Committee of the Elder Law Section; Indiana State Bar Association – Probate, Trust and Real Property Section; and Indianapolis Bar Association; National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

In this seminar, Michael discusses the SECURE Act that became effective on January 1, 2020 and its impact and key changes it brought about.

George “Andy” Beutter has been a lifelong northern Indiana resident.  He joined Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance on April 4, 1988 as a multi-line agent.  He joined NAIFA the following June.

Andy has received much acclaim in his 30+ years of service at Farm Bureau.  He understands the importance of providing his clients with excellent customer service. Throughout his career, he has earned multiple company-sponsored awards for sales and service. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and has held many positions at the state level since joining the organization in 1989. Andy has been a NAIFA-Indiana Board Member for 14 years and was State President in 2011-2012.  He is the current Secretary/Treasurer and a key participant on the Government Relations Board & Committee.  He also sits on the State Executive Committee.  Andy has attended 12+ consecutive National conventions and 20+ consecutive Day-On-The-Hill sessions.

Andy's educational path has included Indiana University, American Management Assn., the American College and Penn High School.   He earned his LUTCF in September of 1992 and his FSS in March of 2013. He earned his Series 6 and 63 licenses in April of 1999.

In this session, Andy discusses risks (different types and ways to avoid) and available umbrella policies to provide protective coverage.
